The Ireland Meeting Room is great for groups up to 30 people, and it’s located on the hotel second floor convenient to the elevators.

The Steakhouse at Fitz offers an elegant atmosphere during the week for events, meetings, or parties.

Guarantee

The Fitz Casino & Hotel requests that you notify the Catering and Conference Services Manager with the exact number of guests attending the function at the time the space is reserved for the function.  Guarantees must be confirmed seven (7) business days before the beginning of the function.  If fewer than the guaranteed number of guests attend the function, the client is charged for the original guaranteed number.  Health Codes do not permit removal of food from designated function area.  Liquor codes do not allow the admittance or removal of alcoholic beverage to or from the function area.

Function Rooms

Function rooms are assigned by the resort according to the guaranteed minimum number of people anticipated.  The resort reserves the right to assign another room for a function in the event that the room originally designated shall become unavailable or inappropriate in size.  The resort reserves the right to make the final decision regarding outdoor functions.  The decision to move a function to an indoor location will be made not less than four (4) hours prior to the event.

Food & Beverage

In accordance with Mississippi liquor laws, the Fitz Casino & Hotel does not allow any food or beverages to be brought into the Fitz property, or taken out of any of our food outlets or banquet facilities by patrons or their guests.

All food and beverage must be supplied by Fitz Casino & Hotel.  No food or beverages will be sold on a “consumption basis” except in the case of full “Hosted Bar” set-ups where minimums do apply.  The resort is the only authorized licensee to sell and serve food, liquor, beer and wine on the premises.  This includes hospitality suites and food amenity deliveries.

Catering and Banquet Approvals/Changes

All Banquet Event Orders or “BEO's” must be reviewed for accuracy.  If there are no changes or corrections, the BEO(s) must be signed and dated and returned to the Banquet Department.

Space and services are not guaranteed; any requested changes cannot be implemented, until a signed contract and deposit(s) have been received. 

Taxes and Service Charges

Fitz Casino & Hotel will add 20% service charge and 10% sales tax on food and beverage in addition to the prices quoted for the function.

Security

Fitz Casino & Hotel shall not assume responsibility for damage or loss of any merchandise or articles left in the resort prior to or following the banquet or meeting.  Security is available to guard exhibits, merchandise and/or articles that are set-up for display prior to and after the planned event at a designated charge per hour or per security guard.  Tunica County Officers are available at a pre-determined rate.

  • Resetting of Rooms
  • Specialty Linen
  • Pipe and Drape
  • Additional Power Requirements
  • In-House Equipment Use
  • Handling & Delivery Charges
  • Additional Lighting
  • Cleaning Fees
  • Destruction or Theft of Property

Reservations & Deposits

25% deposit required at contract execution to reserve function space.  

50% of total event cost (less the 25% deposit) is due fourteen (14) days prior to the start of the event.

100% of the remaining balance is due four (4) hours prior to the start of the event.  Any payments due based on consumption must be paid within thirty minutes of the conclusion of the event.

Payments

Fitz Casino & Hotel accepts the following forms of payment: Visa, Mastercard, Money Order, American Express, Cashier's Check, Discover, Cash

Credit cards are accepted with the following:

  • A completed, signed, and dated credit card authorization form
  • Must allow hotel to authorize a set amount against the card for a guarantee
  • Must allow hotel to authorize a set amount prior to your arrival for anticipated charges

(If the information needed for credit card processing cannot be supplied, alternate tender will be required.)

 

Miscellaneous

Pins, tacks, or tape may not be attached to any walls in banquet rooms or any other public area.  Any signs, decorations, or other items displayed must be of professional quality and have prior approval from the Banquet Services Manager.  Each room has different capabilities and features.  We reserve the right to reassign the room should any change in attendance or type of function occur prior to the time of your function to meet fire code requirements.
